no one understands how much I’m laughing right now, what is life?
it’s like he turns and sees him but keeps walking into omg
he is so slow
it even takes him a while to realize he hit him
Never went looking for trouble, always managed to find it.
Stayed at Hogwarts for his final year to protect the school, its ideals and its students. Stayed because he knew that Harry, Ron and Hermione wouldn’t be there as they had been before.
The students would need somebody strong, somebody important and somebody that everybody knew they could trust to step up and prepare them for the trouble and danger ahead.
He knew that person probably wasn’t him but he didn’t care. He would be that person. He would become that person because they would need him to. Because who else would be willing to take that on? Who else would dare to think of what might be coming?
After all Dumbledore wasn’t around to protect them any more and he knew he wasn’t a child and so many of the others there still were.
And they would need to be ready when the war came. Because he knew, Neville knew it was coming.
He’d made the decision that he would fight in this war just as his parents had fought in the last one and he too would fight to win. No more shaky little Neville who was taken out by a body-bind curse. No if the war was lost (which he never accepted but always knew was a possibility) he would stand tall and have stood on the side he believed in.
After all it was better to die on his feet than live in Voldemort’s shadow of fear.
And that is why I loved the character of Neville Longbottom.
